The Lady ’Canes jumped out to a 41-20 lead at the half and never looked back in the championship game of the New Castle Tipoff Tournament.
JaNia McPhatter led all scorers with 21 points and eight rebounds. LaShauna Brothers followed with 18 points and nine boards.
Kaylynn Waters chipped in with 11 points, including three treys. Jazelle Dennis had a team-high eight assists to go with her seven points.
Leah Prisuta led the Lady Panthers (1-1) with 15 markers and Amy Gatnarek followed with 13 points.
Brothers was named tournament MVP. Dennis and McPhatter also earned all-tournament honors.
