Wilmington topples Grand River Valley
Grand River (45) Vs. Wilmington (51)
Dec 05, 2008
Grand River jumped out to a 10-1 lead after the first quarter of the Jamestown Tournament game, but the Greyhounds rallied by halftime for a 27-16 advantage.

“I’m playing a lot of younger guys right now (because several veterans are still playing football),” head coach Will Harris said. “Ian Kelly is really my only experienced guy right now, and he picked up his second foul just two-and-a-half minutes in, so he spent the rest of the half on the bench.

“The younger guys were tight. We were missing layups and short jumpers, not even trying to score sometimes. But with about four minutes left in the half, they finally loosened up.”

Matt Moesta’s 16 points were tops for Wilmington.
