Mohawk closes season with loss to Freedom

The Warriors struggled in the second half in dropping a 73-54 non-section road game to the Bulldogs.
Mohawk (3-19) held a 34-29 lead at the half, but was outscored 44-20 in the second half.
"I thought the kids played hard," said second-year Warriors coach Nick Marmo. "They did a lot of things well in the first 2 1/2 quarters.
"We had a lead and we slowly let it get away from us. We had to change what we were doing. It was a lot closer than it actually was. We did a lot of good things this season and we're excited for next season."
Nate McCutcheon and Aaron Novad netted 11 points each to lead Mohawk. Joey Hervatine tossed in 10 tallies for the visitors and Braydon Cameron collected nine.
Santino Guandolo registered a game-high 27 points for Freedom (5-16).
