Bennett leads Shenango past Sto-Rox
Shenango (69) Vs. Sto-Rox (59)
Jan 27, 2017
Brandon Bennett scored 25 points, including five 3-pointers, in the Shenango High boys basketball team's 69-59 WPIAL Section 3-2A homecourt victory over Sto-Rox on Friday night.

Ty Smith added 19 markers for the Wildcats (2-8 section, 4-13 overall). Sto-Rox is also 2-8, 4-13.

The Wildcats led 47-30 after three quarters when the bottom started to drop out. Malik Smith had 19 of his 21 points in the fourth period.

"We became impatient, took some bad shots and let them back in the game," Shenango coach Bob McQuiston said. "We shot the ball too quickly. Luckily we were 6 of 7 from the stripe down the stretch.

"We definitely need to be smarter with our shot selection with a 17-point lead. But I was happy to see that we held on and got the win."
