The Lady ‘Canes started slow and couldn’t recover in dropping a 55-28 non-section road contest to the Lady Golden Rams.
Kayla Harvey led New Castle (5-6) with eight points and 10 rebounds, while Mariah Shepherd added six markers. Tanai Brothers shared team-high honors with Harvey in rebounding with 10.
“We weren’t mentally prepared as a team. We didn’t come out as hard as we have been,” said first-year Lady ‘Canes coach Kara Joseph.
