Wilmington outscored Commodore Perry 28-19 in the second half to rally for a District 10, Region 1-AA/A win.

Ashley Gardner, making her first start of the year, netted a team-high 12 points for the Lady Greyhounds (6-6, 8-10).

“Gardner did a great job; I thought she had an excellent game,” Lady Greyhounds coach Brian Turk said.

Kara Kendall added nine points and 12 rebounds for Wilmington.

“Kendall keeps hammering away at the boards for us,” Turk said. “She’s doing her job under the hoop.”

The Lady Greyhounds shot just 14 of 81 from the field, compared to 19 of 52 for the Lady Panthers
