Jared Berlin had a double-double for the Wilmington High boys basketball team Friday night.
An unconventional one, that is.
Berlin pulled down 13 rebounds and blocked 10 shots while scoring three points in the Greyhounds' 80-39 District 10, Region 2-AA rout at home.
Wilmington is now 6-6 in the region and goes into the playoffs tied with Lakeview and Reynolds for third place in the region. West Middlesex and Greenville go into the postseason as the first- and second-place teams. Playoff pairings will be announced by District 10 on Sunday.
"Berlin was all over the place," Greyhounds coach Mike Jeckavitch said. "We were coming off a couple of heartbreaking losses, it was senior night and the guys really played together and shared the ball.
"No one cared who got the points," he added. "It was a great team win."
Jimmy Powers led Wilmington with 23 points and eight assists and Spencer DeMedal added 22 points, eight rebounds and six assists. Jacob Harvey chipped in with 17 points.
