Ketterer reaches milestone in Ellwood setback

Karington Ketterer surpassed the 1,000-point plateau for the Lady Wolverines in a 57-42 nonsection road loss to the Lady Spartans.
Ketterer, who will play collegiately at Pitt-Johnstown, collected 18 points with seven rebounds and four steals. She went over 1,000 points on a field goal at the end of the third quarter, finishing with 1,005 for her career.
"This wasn't the finish we wanted as a team," Ellwood City coach Jolene Krupa said. "We were hoping to win our fourth straight.
"But we wanted to get Karington her 1,000th point and we accomplished that."
Breonna Streit supplied eight markers for the Lady Wolverines (9-13).
Allie McKelvey pulled down seven rebounds with four steals for the guests and Emily Brown handed out four assists with three steals.
Courtney Thomas tallied 18 markers for Montour (8-14).
