Ellwood boys roll past Slippery Rock

The Ellwood City Lincoln High boys basketball team closed the season on a positive note Saturday.

The Wolverines built a big lead and coasted in the second half in a 67-36 nonsection home win over Slippery Rock.

Ellwood City (9-13) led 14-6 after one quarter and 30-13 at the half.

The Wolverines' Rick Roth netted a game-high 23 points. Teammates Anthony Roth and Dave DeLoia added 12 tallies apiece.

Nick Wherthey registered a team-best 16 markers for the Rockets.
