The Spartans made nine 3-pointers but it wasn't enough in a 76-66 nonsection road loss to the Little Prexies.
Laurel trailed just 33-29 at the break but couldn't overtake the hosts.
"It's a good test for us. They're going to be a playoff team," Spartans coach Ken Locke said. "Hopefully we'll get a chance to see them again.
"We didn't play real well on Saturday and they did. We have to get focused here for Tuesday. The main thing is we're pretty healthy. That's the key right now."
Scott Siddall supplied a team-high 16 points for Laurel and Mason Mraz was next with 15. Jordan Dantico delivered 12 tallies.
Matt Popeck produced a game-best 23 points for Washington.
The Spartans were 25 of 61 from the field, including 9 of 26 from the outside. The Little Prexies were 28 of 56 overall.
Laurel turned the ball over 15 times.
