The Lady ‘Canes bombarded Greensburg Salem in the consolation match 57-42 at the Indiana Christmas Tournament with 11 3-pointers.

Lindsay Frabotta and Jaidyn Eggleston combined for nine of those shots from beyond the arc as New Castle (3-6) jumped out to a 25-13 lead after the first quarter.

“We shot the ball very well,” New Castle coach Maria Joseph said. “That was a great win on a neutral site against a non-section team. I would pick our whole team for the all-tournament team because of how well everyone played.

“We got some easy baskets and they shot the ball really well on the perimeter. Every one of them has been working on their game and it showed tonight.”

Both Frabotta and Eggleston hit season-high marks, as Frabotta led the team with 20 points and Eggleston followed closely with 18. Eggleston was named to the All-Tournament team.
