Mohawk still looking for first win

The Warriors had a chance to secure their first win of the season, but fell apart in the second half in falling to Western Beaver 44-39 ithe Rochester Christmas Tournament.

Mohawk (0-9) led 26-18 at the halftime break, but surrendered 26 points in the second half while only scoring 13.

"We had two different teams out there," Mohawk coach Nick Marmo said. "We had three turnovers in the first half and 19 in the second. It was just very frustrating. But, as bad as it's been, we'll get better."

Joey Hervatine paced the Warriors with 11 points and Parker Lyons followed with 10. Aaron Novad, who scored four points in the loss, was named to the all-tournament team.
