Neshannock has no trouble with Hopewell

The Lady Lancers had little issue handling Hopewell 56-21 in their second game at the Shenango Holiday Tournament.

Neshannock (8-1) jumped out to a 15-4 lead in the first quarter and outscored the Lady Vikings 19-2 in the third quarter.

Carmie Matarazzo, who was named the Tournament MVP, scored a game-high 16 points, with all four of her successful field goals coming from beyond the arc.

Regan Moorhouse posted eight points, eight rebounds and eight steals. Collectively, Neshannock recorded 23 steals.

"Regan played fantastic defensively," Neshannock coach Luann Grybowski said. "She had eight steals and probably six deflections. Defensively, I thought we played well."
