Defense carries Mohawk
Mohawk (49) Vs. Knoch (37)
Dec 21, 2015
Defense carried the Lady Warriors to another victory in a non-section meeting with host Knoch.

Mohawk (6-1) held the Lady Knights to just 16 points in the first three quarters as it took a 33-16 lead into the final eight minutes. Mohawk prevailed 49-37.

"We played really well for three quarters defensively," Mohawk coach Mike O'Lare said. "Some teams, when you're that far behind, they start playing a little more fearless. I thought we hung in there and played well enough to win."

Aliya Gage paced the Lady Warriors with 16 points, followed closely by Erin Giancola's 15-point performance.
