The Lady Spartans started slow and couldn't recover in dropping a 54-34 nonsection home loss to the Lady Rockets.
Laurel (3-5) trailed 37-14 at the break, but did outscore the visitors in the second half, 20-17.
"If we could put four quarters together, we would be pretty good," Lady Spartans coach Jessica Shevitz said. "We made adjustments at halftime and we were OK. But we just can't put four quarters together.
"As soon as that happens, I look for us to be OK."
Caroline Gibson garnered 17 points for Laurel and Kristin Dicks deposited 10.
