The Leopards took charge in the third quarter to knock off the visiting Wildcats in Section 1-AA action.
Lincoln Park (9-0, 15-1), ranked No. 2 in the WPIAL in Class AA by the Post-Gazette, outscored Shenango 26-6 in the third period to build a 58-29 advantage.
“I thought our guys played hard,” Wildcats coach Bob McQuiston said. “They have a lot of athletes. They’ve got some good bigs and some guys that can shoot it.
“We played hard to the end and we didn’t quit. Sometimes you have a tendency to do that when you get down big. But I thought the effort was there. We had a couple of quick turnovers in the third quarter and they can score in bunches; that’s what happened.”
Ryan Smith supplied 16 points for Shenango (3-6, 8-7) and Matt Benson chipped in with 13.
Antonio Kelliem notched a game-high 27 points for Lincoln Park.
