Cornell edges Lady Scots
Cornell (37) Vs. Union (32)
Jan 20, 2015
The Lady Scots struggled in the second half in dropping a Section 1-A home contest to the Lady Raiders.
Union (0-7, 2-13) held a 17-9 advantage at the half. But Cornell (4-2, 11-5) outscored the hosts, 28-15, in the second half to claim the win.
“The biggest thing is we haven’t been in any close games and we didn’t handle that situation real well,” said second-year Lady Scots coach Larry Ondako. “We had too many turnovers. It wasn’t the number of turnovers we had, it was when we had them.”
Sarah Seamans supplied 14 points to lead Union.
Katie Plish provided a team-best 14 markers for Cornell.
