Neshannock (63) Vs. New Brighton (25)
Jan 06, 2015
The Lady Lancers raced to a 20-2 lead after the first quarter and cruised to a Section 1-AA home win over the Lady Lions.

Neshannock (4-0, 8-1) extended the buffer to 34-15 at the break.

“We got out big; we jumped on them early,” Lady Lancers coach Luann Grybowski said. “I subbed a lot and I was trying to play girls equal minutes.

“We came out strong in the second half and played well. (New Brighton) got some easy baskets against us in the second quarter, though.”

Madison McHale paced three Neshannock scorers in double figures with 19 points. She added seven rebounds and three steals. Regan Moorhouse contributed 15 markers and three steals, while Cassidy Burrelli contributed 12 tallies and three steals.

Tayler Grybowski added nine points and three steals. Erin Warvell posted eight boards and seven assists.

“It’s great to have that kind of balance,” Luann Grybowski said.

Libby Thomas paced New Brighton (0-4, 1-9) with 14 points.
