Neshannock victorious
Neshannock (69) Vs. Summit Academy (48)
Dec 17, 2014
Jake Rylott and Ethan Moose scored 24 point each in visiting Neshannock’s victory over Section 1-AA opponent Summit Academy.
“They played zone and Jake did a good job of knocking down shots,” Neshannock coach John Corey said. “His teammates did a good job of setting him up.”
Rylott connected on seven 3-pointers and the Lancers (2-0, 3-1) hit a total of nine shots from deep as a whole in the win.
The Knights (0-2, 0-5) had two players score double-digit points in Dennis Richardson, who had a team-high 12 points, and Sayyid Muhammad with his 11 points.
Neshannock only led by two points coming out of the half, but a 21-13 third quarter put the game out of reach for Summit Academy.
Moose has been the leading scorer for Neshannock early in the season, but Corey knows that there are other players on his team who can step up and sit atop the stat sheet.
“We know that we have multiple guys that can score,” Corey said. “Any given night it can be someone different. Ethan is the mainstay, but we’re playing a lot of guys and any guy can be the high scorer.”
