Ellwood girls fall hard
Ambridge (71) Vs. Ellwood City (25)
Dec 12, 2014
The Lady Wolverines were bombarded by 12 3-pointers from the visiting Lady Bridgers in a Section 2-AAA meeting.

“Consistency, something we have been stressing for years, was lacking tonight,” Ellwood City coach Jolene Servick said. “Can't win section games with single-digit scoring quarters, committing 25 turnovers, and being outhustled on both ends. Can't give up 12 three-pointers to a team that we know has very good outside shooters.”

Karington Ketterer was the only player from Ellwood City (3-2) to hit double-digit points, collecting 10 including six free throws.

Sarah Fischer did most of the damage for Ambridge, totaling 24 points and six 3-pointers.

Ambridge only led by six after the first quarter, but a 20-4 and 26-8 advantage in the next two quarters put the game out of reach for Ellwood City.
