Ellwood girls edge Knoch
Ellwood City (52) Vs. Knoch (47)
Dec 10, 2014
Bailey McKinney and Karington Ketterer scored in double digits as the Lady Wolverines edged host Knoch.

McKinney paced Ellwood City Lincoln (3-1) with a game-high 17 points, while Ketterer followed with a 14-point performance. Jocelyn Guy added eight points.

Ellwood City jumped out to a 15-6 lead after the first quarter. The Lady Knights tried to make a move by scoring 16 points in the second quarter and 14 in the fourth, but the visiting Lady Wolverines were able to hold on.

“This was a great win against a triple-A team on the road,” Ellwood City coach Jolene Servick said. “I am so proud of the girls tonight. We have had four road games in a row and I know the girls were tired, but they dug deep and came out with the win.

“We definitely needed this win going into section play on Thursday against Ambridge. Bailey really stepped up this game and was a true senior leader tonight.
