Samantha Seaburn posted a 14-point, 11-rebound double-double to lead the host Lady Wildcats to the Section 2-AA win. She also blocked three shots.

Shenango found itself down 8-6 after the first quarter and managed to pull into a 16-16 tie at halftime before making a 29-24 lead entering the fourth quarter stick.

“The girls responded really well,” Turk said. “We had to run the floor against Union (on Wednesday night) and I was worried that we’d be dragging. We definitely had our hands full in the first half. We really picked it up in the second, third and fourth quarters. I’m really proud of the girls.”

Angelina Sibeto tacked on nine points. Emma Rich collected eight points, four assists, four steal and four rebounds and Ashleigh Presnar totaled six points and 10 rebounds.

“There’s a lot of role players on my team,” Turk said. “We don’t need a lot of double-digit scorers to win. Sure, it would be nice to get more, but scoring in double figures isn’t everything. The little things add up and help you win.”
