Jaidyn Eggleston tossed in six 3-pointers as the host Lady ’Canes picked up the Section 2-AAA triumph.
Eggleston finished the game with a team-high 19 points for New Castle (4-6, 7-11), while Darrian Johnson added 18 points.
The Lady ’Canes outscored the Lady Warriors 33-26 in the second half after trailing 24-22 at the break.
New Castle trails Ambridge (4-5, 10-6) by a half-game for the fourth and final playoff spot out of the section. The teams split their season series, so they both would qualify for the postseason if they end the season in a tie for fourth place.
