Ambridge converted 11-of-12 free throws in the fourth quarter to seal the Bridgers’ 44-34 Section 2-AAA win over visiting Ellwood City.
Daylon Carter made 7-of-8 free throws in the final frame and 13 of 16 for the game on the way a 17-point night. Stephon McGinnis led coach Mark Jula’s Ambridge team (1-1, 7-3) with 21 points.
Frederick Roth paced the Wolverines (0-4, 2-9) with 14 points, including four 3-pointers.
