Four Wilmington players reached double figures as the Lady Greyhounds cruised to a 72-46 District 10, Region 2-AA road win.
Tessa Sikora posted her 10th double-double of the season with 23 points and 21 rebounds, while Alanna Elliott registered 11 points and 11 rebounds for the Lady Greyhounds (2-0, 8-2).
Cassidy Marett had 13 points and Hannah Drake finished with 11.
“It’s something that I haven’t had since I started coaching here four years ago,” Wilmington coach Brandy Sanford said of the balanced scoring. “It’s really nice. If someone is having an off night, I know someone else will step up.”
The Lady Sailors (0-2, 3-4) kept the game close for much of the first half and trailed 38-26 at the break before the Lady ’Hounds closed out the game with a 34-20 clip over the final two quarters.
