Union boys fall on road
Avonworth (75) Vs. Union (63)
Dec 10, 2013
Benjamin Young scored a game-high 33 points and grabbed eight rebounds, but it wasn’t enough as the visiting Scotties dropped the nonsection battle.

Young drained 11 field goals and connected on 8 of 12 from the free-throw line for Union (0-3).

The Scotties fell behind 35-24 after the first half.

“We’re getting ourselves into a hole in the first half,” Union coach Dave Smialowski said. “Today, we trailed by 11 at the half. We battled back in the second half and Avonworth, to their credit, weathered the storm. The kids are working and good things will happen.”

Jacob Jendrysik connected on three 3-pointers for nine points and Jullian Johnson added eight points for Union.
