Mohawk jumped out to a 15-6 first-quarter lead, but was unable to sustain it in a 51-41 loss to Beaver in the opening round of the Riverside Tipoff Tournament.
“We played competitively and tried to attack their pressure as much as we could, but we couldn’t quite get it done,” Mohawk coach Ron Fadden said.
Gio Menichino sparked Mohawk with 10 points.
The Warriors take on Beaver Country Christian at 4 p.m. today.
