Blackhawk built a 19-7 lead and coasted to a Section 2-AAA home win over New Castle. The Lady Cougars (12-0, 21-0) are ranked No. 1 in the WPIAL in Class AAA by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
The Lady ’Canes (4-8, 8-14) trailed 41-22 at the half.
Darrian Johnson posted a team-high 12 points for New Castle and Kelsey Scott supplied 11. Velvet Wade was next with 10 markers.
Chassidy Omogrosso paced Blackhawk (12-0, 21-0) with 21 points.
