Offensive struggles in the first half hindered Shenango in a Section 2-AA loss at Beaver Falls.
“We came in with all the confidence in the world,” Lady Wildcats coach Brian Turk said. “We knew we could play with them. We just didn’t show up to play.”
In the first meeting between the teams, the score at halftime was 30-29. The Lady Tigers (9-2, 11-8) would eventually win that game 74-45. Last night, Beaver Falls held the 46-10 advantage at the end of the second quarter.
“The game was over by then. The damage was done by halftime,” Turk said. “Unfortunately, we just didn’t get things going in the first half.”
Shenango (0-10, 7-12) turned the ball over 19 times in the first two quarters. Samantha Seaburn, Angelina Sibeto and Jenna Petrucci scored eight points each for the Lady Wildcats.
