The Lady ’Canes got off to a slow start and never recovered in a nonsection road loss to Hampton.
The Lady Talbots built a 12-0 lead after the first quarter and never looked back.
Kelsey Scott paced New Castle (6-9) with seven points and Darrian Johnson was next with six. The Lady ’Canes, who have dropped four straight, made eight field goals, four of them were from behind the arc.
Sara Pilarski netted a game-high 12 points for Hampton (11-4).
The Lady Talbots led 21-5 at the half and 37-10 through three quarters.
