Ambridge routs Ellwood
Ellwood City (34) Vs. Ambridge (72)
Jan 05, 2013
The visiting Ambridge Bridgers raced to a 20-6 lead and cruised past the Wolverines 72-34 in a Section 2-AAA matchup.

Malik Walker led the way for Ambridge (1-2, 5-4) with 21 points.

“Malik Walker is a good player and they got the ball to him early,” first-year Ellwood City Lincoln coach Anthony Ovial said. “They have a very athletic team and a very quick team.

“They made a lot of good plays and got us on early. I just think we never really could recover from a couple of punches we took early. We weren’t able to give any punches back to them.”

Nick Aloi, who came in averaging a team-best 17.9 points a game, was limited to just 10 points to pace the Wolverines (0-4, 2-9).
