Ellwood girls lose
Ambridge (57) Vs. Ellwood City (31)
Jan 04, 2013
Ellwood City Lincoln was no match for the offensive firepower of visiting Ambridge.
The Lady Bridgers jumped out to a 30-15 halftime lead and never relinquished their double-digit advantage in the Section 2-AAA clash.
“We did not show up to play,” Lady Wolverines coach Jolene Servick said. “We killed ourselves with turnovers and did not capitalize on theirs.”
Ellwood City (1-3, 5-5) dropped its third consecutive decision and sees its record at .500 for the first time this season.
Asia Borders registered a team-high nine points. Angela McCowin followed with seven.
