Shenango girls fall hard

Vincentian Academy built a 30-6 lead and cruised past Shenango in the Penn State-Beaver Holiday Tournament.
The Lady Wildcats (5-3) turned the ball over 18 times in the first half, but they forced 13 turnovers for the game by the Lady Royals (7-0).
“That’s a very talented team,” Shenango coach Brian Turk said. “We had trouble with their pressure and we had a lot of turnovers.
“That’s a very good team we played. We’re just not able to compete with them at this time.”
Jenna Petrucci paced the Lady Wildcats with 11 points and Amanda Herb was next with 10. Shenango was 10 of 12 at the foul line.
“I was happy with our foul shots,” Turk said. “The girls played really hard against Vincentian Academy.”
Brenna Wise led Vincentian Academy with 18 points.
