Beaver Falls shoots by Laurel
Beaver Falls (70) Vs. Laurel (42)
Dec 19, 2012
The Laurel offense couldn’t keep up with Beaver Falls in its Section 2-AA opener.

Drew Cook’s five 3-pointers gave the Tigers a 50-22 lead at halftime.

“We came out and executed our game plan,” Spartans coach Ken Locke said. “We were up 9-8 midway through the first, they just shot the lights out. In the first half Beaver Falls was 20 of 36 from the field. At that point, we had to get out of our game plan.”

Jacob Wilson led Laurel (0-1, 1-3) with 11 points. The freshman guard has averaged 10.5 points in four games this season. Josh Finley was next with 10.

“I’m very happy to have Wilson around for the next four years,” Locke said. “He’s making some freshman mistakes, but he’s doing a great job.”
