Pressure hurts Lady Lancers

The Lady Rams used a strong second quarter to pull away at the New Castle Tipoff Tournament consolation game.

Pine-Richland (1-1) held a 12-9 lead after the first, but went ahead 29-13 at halftime.

“The second quarter really killed us. We struggled with their pressure,” Neshannock coach Luann Grybowski said. “It’ll take some time. We’ll get better. We’ll get back to work. They keep playing hard.”

Tayler Grybowski, the coach’s daughter, led Neshannock (0-2) with 11 points, four rebounds and four steals. She was named to the all-tournament team. Alexandra Fisher had six points, six rebounds and three steals. Erin Warvell had four points and four rebounds.
