The Wolverines lit up the Summit Academy gym with 14 3-pointers and flirted with the Section 2-AA upset before falling in the game’s final minutes.

Brandon Lucarelli led Ellwood City (3-8, 8-12) with 21 points. He had seven 3-pointers on the night, including four in the first quarter, when the Wolverines jumped out to a 21-10 lead. Matt Germanoski had a trio of 3-pointers in his 11-point night, as did Jared Vetica, who finished with nine markers.

The Knights (11-1, 15-4) placed four players in double digits, led by Rakim Reedy with 18 points.
