Riverside grabbed a 28-16 halftime lead en route to a Section 2-AA home win over Mohawk.

“We have to find a way to get a win,” Warriors first-year coach Rob Fadden said. “We’re struggling to put the ball in the hoop.

“We go through stretches where we shoot ourselves in the foot and we don’t get opportunities to score.”

Lucas Grim and Jonathan Grim notched 12 points each for Mohawk (1-3, 5-6), while Tim Glass chipped in with 11.

Gig Jewell led all scorers with 17 points for the Panthers (3-1, 8-5), 12 came in the first half.

“Jewell is a good player. He really hurt us in the first half,” Fadden said.
