The Ellwood City Lincoln High boys basketball team made a statement in the second quarter last night.
The Wolverines outscored Mohawk by nine points in the frame, building a 10-point halftime advantage, and cruising to a 53-33 WPIAL Section 2-AA home victory over Mohawk.
Matt Morella netted 12 points for the Wolverines (1-2 section, 5-5 overall) and Mario Greco added 10.
Mitchell Grim and Tim Glass tossed in nine points apiece for the Warriors (1-1, 5-4).
