Cold-shooting Lancers fall

Neshannock couldn’t find the basket in the second quarter and it proved costly in a Section 2-AA road loss to Riverside.

The Lancers (1-2, 3-4) led 15-13 after the first quarter, but they were outscored 15-3 in the second period.

Ernie Burkes led Neshannock with 17 points and John Sansone was next with 16.

Dom Vetica netted a team-best 15 markers for the Panthers (1-1, 6-5). Brent Mulneix, who followed with 14 points, sealed the win by converting all four of his free-throw attempts with less than a minute left in the contest.
