Wilmington falls to Big Red
West Middlesex (88) Vs. Wilmington (42)
Jan 04, 2012
West Middlesex cruised in a District 10, nonregion home victory over Wilmington.

The Big Red (5-2) led by 15 after one quarter and took a 43-17 lead into halftime. Trey Staunch led all scorers with 25 points, and Matt Dogan provided 18.

“We were preparing for Dogan, and we actually did a decent job against him, but they just killed us inside,” Wilmington coach Mike Jeckavitch said. “They were hard working, they were physical and we weren’t ready for that kind of physicality. We got into foul trouble and just didn’t play well to start.”

Matt Bowen and Rocco Fagan each scored a team-high 11 points for Wilmington (2-6). Bowen also grabbed five rebounds.
