Rochester races past Lady Scots
Rochester (55) Vs. Union (27)
Jan 04, 2012
The Lady Scots struggled with their shooting in a Section 1-A loss to Rochester on the road.

Union (1-2, 5-5) made 11 field goals, while going 1 of 17 on the foul line in the loss.

“It was just a rough night from the beginning,” Lady Scots coach Brian Fadden said. “The foul shooting just sums up how we played.

“But, we’re not going to overreact. We’re much more capable than that from the foul line; it just happens.”

Miranda Heaney led Union with 11 points. Three of her four field goals were 3-pointers.

Tanaya Bacon netted a game-high 14 points for the Lady Rams (1-1, 4-6), who had three scorers reach double figures.

“Rochester is very athletic. They will give lots of teams trouble,” Fadden said.
