Hopewell raced to a 39-16 halftime advantage and cruised to a Section 2-AAA victory over Ellwood City Lincoln on the Lady Wolverines’ home floor.

The Lady Vikings are ranked No. 1 in the WPIAL in Class AAA by the Post-Gazette.

Asia Borders netted 11 points for the Lady Wolverines (0-3, 3-6).

Shatori Walker-Kimbrough paced all scorers with a game-best 21 points for Hopewell.

“We did a good job on Walker-Kimbrough,” first-year Ellwood coach Jolene Servick said. “They were able to break the press down though.

“I think defensively, we did a good job. Offensively, we just weren’t able to put up any points on the board.”
