Mohawk boys top Rochester
Mohawk (59) Vs. Rochester (51)
Dec 23, 2011
The Warriors jumped on the Rams early and held on for the nonsection road win.

Mohawk (4-2) grabbed a 15-4 lead after the first quarter. Yet, the hosts rallied in the second to trim the Warriors’ lead to 29-22 at halftime.

Rochester (0-7) continued to march back in the third and came within 42-38 at the buzzer. However, Mohawk held off the hosts in the fourth. The Warriors iced the win when they converted 9 of 12 free throws in the final frame.

“We came out and played well. They missed some shots and we did a good job on the boards,” Mohawk coach Rob Fadden said. “We’re still struggling to put four quarters together, though, because we let them right back in the game in the second.”

Tim Glass paced Mohawk with 16 points. Lucas Grim had 13.

Anthony Williams tallied a game-high 17 points for Rochester.
