Riverside made key free throws down the stretch to pull away from Mohawk in a Section 2-AA showdown.
The game was tied at 53 with 2:55 remaining, but Riverside was 10 for 14 from the line in the fourth quarter to improve to 1-1 in the section, 3-1 overall. Riverside’s Alex Deep led all scorers with 28 points, including going 8 of 11 from the line.
Taylor Yarletts paced Mohawk (0-1, 2-2) with 15 points, while Shelby Brown registered 14. Devon Giancola added 11. The Lady Warriors led 37-30 at the break, but were outscored 33-16 in the second half.
