Mohawk boys edge Freedom
Mohawk (44) Vs. Freedom (43)
Dec 12, 2011
Lucas Grim cashed in a three-footer with two seconds left to lift Mohawk to a win over Freedom in the Riverside Shootout.

The Bulldogs took a one-point lead with 10 seconds left. But the Warriors’ Tim Glass penetrated the lane and found Grim for the game-winner.

“It was good penetration by Tim,” first-year Mohawk coach Rob Fadden said. “He had good vision to find Lucas and Lucas finished it off.”

Jonathan Grim led the Warriors (1-1) with 12 points and Vince Menichino was next with 10. It’s the first win for Fadden.

“It’s great to get one early,” Fadden said of the win. “We’re hoping to build off of it.

Lucas Grim made the all-tournament team.

Connor Yhrezbinski paced the Bulldogs (0-2) with 12 points.
