Wilmington (91) Vs. Jamestown (60)
Dec 12, 2011
Wilmington outscored Jamestown 31-11 in the fourth quarter to pull away for a victory in the consolation round of the Jamestown Tipoff Tournament.

“It felt good to get our first win out of the way,” Greyhounds coach Mike Jeckavitch said. “We seemed to kind of click in the fourth quarter.”

Matt Bowen rifled in a career-best 24 points to lead the way for Wilmington (1-1) and Ryan Sager was next with 17. Rocco Fagan contributed 12 markers for the winners and Jesse Hilliard tossed in 10.

The Greyhounds got 35 points from their bench.

“I got great bench support,” Jeckavitch said. “Bowen’s effort was great, too.”

Ronnie Artman netted 21 markers for the Muskies (0-2).

Wilmington forced 26 turnovers.

“We were active defensively, but we need to improve on that aspect as well,” Jeckavitch said.
