A 16-point third quarter fueled the Lady Cougars’ win over the Lady Wolverines at the South Side Beaver Tournament.
Ellwood City (1-1) trailed, 15-6, after the first, but rallied for a 23-21 halftime lead.
Asia Borders led the Lady Wolverines with eight points and four steals. Francesca Nardone, Kara Sainato and Isabella Williams all had seven points. Sainato had three steals. Angela McCowin had four points and four blocks.
