E.J. Blackwell hit a 3-point shot at the buzzer to lift Rochester to a 49-46 homecourt win over Neshannock in a WPIAL Section 2-AA contest.

It was the first win of the season for the Rams, who improved to 1-4 in the league and 1-6 overall.

Neshannock (1-3, 3-6) led 24-17 at halftime, but the Rams got back into the game by outscoring the Lancers 21-11 in the third period.

Mike Conglose keyed Neshannock with 18 points — including five 3-pointers — and nine rebounds. Rob Davis snared a team-high 12 stray shots to help the Lancers to a 34-19 advantage on the boards.

Neshannock’s Michael Richards contribued five assists and three steals.
