OLSH dominates Union
Union (36) Vs. OLSH (53)
Feb 05, 2011
Our Lady of Sacred Heart dominated the second half to run away with a 53-36 WPIAL Section 1-A matchup with Union.

The Chargers outscored Union by 15 in the final two periods to extend what was a two-point halftime lead.

“We struggle at times to put the ball in the hoop,” Scotties coach Dave Smialowski said. “It’s been our Achilles’ heel all year. We have to learn to score. The effort is there, the kids are playing hard, but we struggle on the offensive end.”

Markel Peace and Toryan Respress led Union (0-8 section, 1-18 overall) with 10 points each. The Scotties trailed, 20-18, at the half, but OLSH outscored them, 21-14, in the third quarter.

Three Chargers (4-4, 11-7) scored in double figures, led by Andrew Orie’s 12 points.
