The Ellwood City Lincoln High boys basketball team battled, but an opposing individual performance spelled doom for the Wolverines.
Ellwood City couldn’t overcome a 24-point performance from Zach Gould in a 54-48 nonsection loss to visiting Riverside last night.
Gould did his damage from all over, connecting on two shots from beyond the arc and hitting six of his seven free throw attempts.
Rick Roth paced Ellwood City (2-4) with 18 points. Riverside is 3-2.
